About me

I grew up in Uşak, a small city in western Türkiye, with my mother and my grandparents. My grandfather worked in construction. My mother worked in a warehouse and cleaned offices. They left early, came home tired, and went back the next morning. What I took from them is simple: people who work hard with their hands should come home the same way they left for work. That is what I care about most, and it is why Intenseye exists.

I studied Management Information Systems at Boğaziçi University and started my career at Sony in Istanbul, first as a software engineer and later on AI projects. In 2018 my co-founder Serhat and I started Intenseye. We believed the cameras that already exist in every factory could be used to prevent injuries, and we spent our first weeks working shifts in an ice-cream plant to understand what that would take. In June 2019 I moved to the United States 🇺🇸 to lead the company from New York. Seven years on, New York is home. Today Intenseye works with manufacturers in more than 45 countries.

Outside work I row, I draw trees, and I collect records. I'm happy to talk about any of it.
